Don't let pain dictate your life. Restore mobility and reduce inflammation with our specialized Naturopathic protocols for Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Book Consultation

Joint pain is not just a sign of "getting old". Whether it is the wear-and-tear of Osteoarthritis or the autoimmune attack of Rheumatoid Arthritis, the root cause is often inflammation and accumulation of toxins (like uric acid) in the joints.

Painkillers (NSAIDs) only mask the pain and can damage kidneys over time. At Lucknow Naturopathy Center, we focus on flushing out these toxins, reducing inflammation naturally, and lubricating the joints to restore pain-free movement.

Symptoms & Types

Arthritis manifests differently depending on the type:

Osteoarthritis (OA)

Caused by mechanical wear and tear of cartilage.

  • Pain increases with activity.
  • Grating sensation (crepitus) in knees.
  • Morning stiffness for less than 30 mins.

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)

An autoimmune disease attacking joint lining.

  • Symmetrical pain (both knees/wrists).
  • Morning stiffness for more than 1 hour.
  • Swelling, redness, and heat in joints.

Why Do Joints Pain?

Accumulation of Toxins (Ama)

Poor digestion leads to the formation of 'Ama' (undigested food toxins). This Ama circulates and lodges in the joints, causing stiffness and pain.

Acidic Diet

High consumption of protein (meat/dal) and acidic foods creates Uric Acid crystals, which act like sharp needles in the joints (Gout).

Obesity

Every extra kilogram of weight puts 4 kilograms of extra pressure on your knees. Weight loss is the most effective painkiller.

Lack of Movement

Cartilage has no blood supply; it gets nutrition only through movement (compression/decompression). Sedentary life starves the cartilage.

Our Pain Relief Protocol

We combine heat therapy, massage, and diet to heal joints:

1. Potli Massage (Pinda Sweda)

We use heated herbal pouches to massage the affected joints.

  • Benefits: Reduces swelling, improves circulation, and relieves deep-seated pain.

2. Steam Bath & Mud Therapy

Alternating hot and cold treatments.

  • Steam Bath: Eliminates uric acid through sweat.
  • Mud Pack: When applied to red/swollen joints, it absorbs excess heat and reduces inflammation immediately.

3. Anti-Inflammatory Diet

Food that heals vs Food that hurts.

  • Avoid: Sour foods, excessive pulses (dal), sugar, and refined oil.
  • Eat: Ginger, Turmeric, Garlic, Flaxseeds (Omega-3), and seasonal vegetables.

4. Micro-Exercises (Sukshma Vyayama)

Before full yoga, we start with joint loosening.

  • Joint Rotation: Gentle rotation of toes, ankles, knees, and wrists to stimulate synovial fluid.
  • Janu Basti: Holding warm medicated oil over the knee joint (specialized therapy).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can worn-out cartilage be regenerated naturally?

While complete regeneration of lost cartilage is difficult, we can significanty stop further degeneration. By improving synovial fluid production and strengthening surrounding muscles through Yoga, we eliminate friction and pain, often avoiding knee replacement surgery.

Is Massage safe for Rheumatoid Arthritis?

During active inflammation (red/hot joints), deep massage is avoided. We use gentle 'Potli Massage' with herbal pouches to reduce swelling. Once inflammation subsides, oil massage helps restore flexibility.

What foods increase joint pain?

Sour foods (curd, pickles), fermented foods (idli, dosa), red meat, sugar, and nightshade vegetables (tomatoes, brinjal) can trigger inflammation in sensitive individuals. We identify your triggers and create a safe diet.

How does Steam Bath help arthritis?

Steam bath induces sweating, which removes uric acid (a major cause of joint pain) from the body. It also improves blood circulation to the joints, reducing stiffness.
